Well, Topps has finally revealed their 2024 Topps Series 1 checklist! We are seeing a solid rookie class with a few possible surprises and the usual host of inserts, relics, and auto’s to chase!
The 2024 Topps Series 1 checklist was just revealed, and while I opined here in regards to what could be included as far as rookie releases goes, it appears we are going to get a few more than expected from the top tier of names!

The Inserts:
As far as inserts go, the usual suspects are accounted for as are a couple of interesting extras…
- Gold Mirror Variation – This one appears to be back for another round. We have to believe this will be a regular set going forward with it’s previous popularity.
- Celebration Of The Kid – It looks as though we will be paying homage to Griffey Jr. in this edition. There is also an autograph subset associated to this. With the amount of Griffey Jr. super collectors out there, this should be a big hit!
- Team Color Border Variation – I want to think they are going to toy with the healthy borders they have utilized for the base set here.
- 1989 Topps Baseball – So this years throwback subset, as expected, is a redo of 1989 Topps.
